Students need their TDAP and MCV4 for Meningitis vaccines prior to the start of school. Students will be permitted to register but will not be permitted to begin classes as per state requirement.
Immunizations are provided by family doctors and drug-store pharmacies that offer these types of immunizations. If students are not insured or are on CHIP or Medicaid, immunizations are provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services, located on 1413 E. Corral. Students who have already received their immunizations must show record proof during registration to begin classes on August 25, 2014. KISD Charge Nurse, Lou Wilson, has all student immunization records. If you have any questions, contact KISD Charge Nurse, Lou Wilson at 595-8600 ext. 6420.
