A little about Ms. Hoskisson and her academic career...
This is my fourth year teaching English at the high school; I also taught English at Memorial Middle School for three years. I am a smart, dedicated teacher with high expectations. I completed my B.A. in English literature at University of Oregon. My favorite courses were always on the Elizabethans (Shakespeare), modern literature, and poetry from almost any era. My analytical writing and thinking tends to dwell on race, sex/gender, and religion. My favorite authors are Virginia Woolf and William Faulkner, both stream-of-consciousness modernists who can create moments of sublime transcendence in the reader. I earned my M.S. in Education at Texas A&M-Kingsville, where I took many classes on distance learning. I teach because I find great happiness in being of service to others and I especially love teenagers because you are always interesting and often surprising.
