Texas Safe and Supportive School Program

A statewide effort to make schools safer and more supportive for students and staff. In simple terms, it helps schools create a positive environment where students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. The program focuses on preventing problems like bullying, violence, and behavioral issues before they happen by identifying students who may need help early on. Each campus has a team that looks at school safety, student behavior, and mental health to find ways to improve the school climate. The goal is to ensure that every student feels secure and supported, both emotionally and physically, so they can succeed in school and beyond.
