Hello My Wonderful Wizards,

My name is Mr. Chapa, I am 28 years old and have been teaching both at H.M. King and professionally for 6 years now. I have a degree in English Literature and a Minor in Film Studies from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. I am also an Athletic Coach for Cross Country and Long Distance Track. Besides that, I also am involved with UIL Academics and am one of the Co-Sponsors for HMK's National Honor Society.

Inside of the classroom, I am extremely fair, nurturing, and understanding to a tee. My class is a home for all those that need direction and my door is always open. I have a high standard of work, but it is always with the best intentions of making you a stronger student. I think the biggest thing you can take away, is that I love this job. One of the main reasons I became a teacher is to help pass on the knowledge of writing and this great language to the next generation. Quite simply, English is Life!

I look forward to getting to know many of you, getting to see many of you return home to my class, and most importantly...getting the privilege to teach you all.
