It is with great pleasure that the KISD Administration, Staff and Board of Trustees welcome our students, parents, and staff to the 2017-2018 school year that will be full of learning opportunities!
We at KISD are committed to our community by providing a service delivery model to ensure that all of our students reach their fullest potential and achieve futures of excellence. Our KISD schools are thriving in academics and extracurricular activities as we continue to “fulfill our mission”.
We are happy to report that all of our KISD Schools have met and surpassed the TEA’s State Assessment Standards.
In fact, our KISD Schools and Students received many accolades/Distinction Designations thanks to the unending commitment and support of our Teachers, Parents and Instructional Leaders!
When compared against the 40 most similar campuses across the state, our Elementary Schools received 14 out of 20 distinctions, which translates to KISD receiving 70% of the possible distinctions available to us
Our Intermediate School, Middle School and Alternative campus all Met Standard. In addition, our H. M. King Early College High School/T-STEM Academy not Met Standard, but also received a Distinction for being in the Top 25% Student Progress.
Our campus leaders and staff are ready and excited to continue to support the implementation of innovative initiatives to provide optimal learning opportunities for all KISD students.
We are very pleased to report that our Early College High School and T-STEM Academy are gaining recognitions and grants to upgrade our classrooms! Our MicroSociety 21st Century Learning Model has also received many accolades and awards!
For our returning students, welcome back, Brahmas! And, for our new students and their families, Welcome to the Brahma Family!
“Fulfilling our Mission….”
