About Me:

Meet Ms. Guillette – School Counselor

Hello, my name is Ms. Guillette, and I am proud to serve as the School Counselor at Jesus R. Perez Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M University–Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (2006) and a Master of Science in Counseling (2008).

As a counselor, my goal is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. I provide:

• 2nd Step Guidance Lessons for all students (please let me know if you wish to opt your child out).

• Small group “Lunch Bunch” sessions focused on character education (Grades K–5).

• Bullying prevention groups and support for positive peer relationships.

• Coordination of Section 504 programs to ensure students receive the accommodations they need.

• Individual counseling sessions and referrals to outside resources for families when needed.

I truly enjoy working with students and helping them achieve their emotional wellness goals. Together, we can create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where all children can thrive.
