About me
Mr. Darius R. Robertson, Principal, HM King Early College High School
I bring over 15 years of leadership experience in education and military service to my role as Principal of HM King Early College High School. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to student achievement, instructional excellence, staff development, and cultivating positive school culture.
I previously served as Assistant Principal at Gregory-Portland High School and Rockport-Fulton High School, where I provided leadership in instructional improvement, campus operations, teacher development, and student success initiatives. I also served as a Lead Teacher, teaching mathematics, and as an Interim Assistant Principal in Victoria ISD. I began my teaching career teaching mathematics and science in Refugio ISD, holding various leadership and mentoring roles.
I am a proud veteran of both the United States Navy and the Army National Guard. These experiences helped shape my leadership philosophy of service, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. I earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria, and I am dedicated to ensuring every student is challenged, supported, and prepared for success in college, career, and life.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I am a devoted husband and father. I have been married to his wife, Mrs. Candace Robertson, for 17 years, and together we are blessed with three amazing children: DJ, Isaiah, and Naomi Robertson. My commitment to family and faith inspires my passion for serving students and supporting
communities.
I look forward to partnering with students, families, staff, and the Kingsville community to continue the tradition of excellence at HM King Early College High School.
