About Me:

My name is Cynthia Morales Garcia.  I am the counselor at N.M. Harrel Elementary School.  I have worked with the district for 32 years, 4 years as a Middle School Math teacher and 28 years as a counselor.  I graduated from TAMUK with a Bachelors and Masters Degree.  I have been married for almost 36 years with 4 children. 

 

As a counselor, my goal is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. I provide:

  • 2nd Step Guidance Lessons for all students (please let me know if you wish to opt your child out).

  • Small group “Lunch Bunch” sessions focused on character education (Grades K–5).

  • Bullying prevention groups and support for positive peer relationships.

  • Coordination of Section 504 programs to ensure students receive the accommodations they need.

  • Individual counseling sessions and referrals to outside resources for families when needed.

 

I truly enjoy working with students and helping them achieve their emotional wellness goals. Together, we can create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where all children can thrive.
