As part of our Cybersecurity Awareness campaign, we want to share a valuable video from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to help our school community stay safe online. 🎥✨
Additionally, we are sharing a Parents and Educators Tip Card designed to support healthy cybersecurity habits for children and teens. Here are some key highlights from the card:
- 🗣️ Create an open and honest environment with your children and start regular conversations about online safety.
- ❓ Teach kids to question credibility online — not everything they see is true, and people may not be who they appear to be.
- 👀 Monitor for signs of cyberbullying, such as changes in behavior or avoidance of devices.
- 🔒 Regularly review security settings and privacy policies for frequently used websites and apps.
- 📱 Secure mobile devices with PINs/passwords and install apps only from trusted sources.
The tip card also provides important resources to help protect children and teens from online risks, including links to US-CERT, OnGuardOnline.gov, Project iGuardian, and the CyberTipline for reporting online crimes.
Thank you for working with us to build a safer digital environment for our staff, students, and families. 🙌

Always verify senders and be cautious with unexpected emails or messages. - Keep Software Updated 💻🔄
Regularly update your devices and applications to protect against vulnerabilities. - Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) 🛡️🔒
Add an extra layer of security by requiring a second verification step when logging in.
