School Counselor Garcia's Corner
Meet Ms. Nora Garcia – School Counselor
Hello, my name is Ms. Garcia, and I am proud to serve as the School Counselor at A. D. Harvey Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M University–Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Master of Science in Counseling and Educational Psychology.
As a counselor, my goal is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. I provide:
-
2nd Step Guidance Lessons for all students.
-
“Lunch Bunch Pass” sessions focused on developing friendships with peers (Grades K–5).
-
Bullying prevention groups and support for positive peer relationships.
-
Coordination of Section 504 programs to ensure students receive the accommodations they need.
-
Individual counseling sessions and referrals to outside resources for families when needed.
I truly enjoy working with students and helping them achieve their emotional wellness goals. Together, we can create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where all children can thrive.
