CTE Department

The Career and Technical Education program is designed for students to receive a broad-based academic program integrated with technical courses, enabling graduates to gain entry-level jobs, continue in a two-year junior college, or pursue a four-year university program. 

On-the-job training should enhance practical knowledge of the student’s choice of careers. 

Students may enroll in a sequence of courses in the following programs of study.
 
Arts/Audio Video Technology and Communications
Agriculture Food and Natural Resources
Marketing
Education and Training
Health Science
Hospitality and Tourism
Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM Academy)
Transportation Distribution and Logistics

All KISD Campuses into a Heightened Security - Not a Lockdown

All KISD Campuses have gone into a Heightened Security while a possible threat in the area is being investigated - Not a Lockdown - No threat to students, staff, and/or campuses. Update: Delayed Start of School for Gillett Middle School

The electricity at Gillett Middle School has been turned back on. However, we are going to continue with the same plan we had, we are delaying the start of school day at Gillett to 10:00 AM. Buses are running two hours late for students that ride the school bus to Gillett. No tardies will be counted for any student at any KISD school this morning.

Delayed Start of School for Gillett Middle School

Start of school at Gillett Middle School has been delayed to 10:00 AM due to Power Outage. A large portion of the area that surrounds Gillett MS is without electricity. Stay tuned for additional information/updates.

Kingsville Independent School District DOI Plan

A Public Meeting will be held at 4:30 PM on February 23, 2023.
The Public Meeting will be held for the DOI Committee to review
and vote on DOI plan by a 2/3 majority vote.
The meeting will be held in the Kingsville ISD Board Room at
207 North Third Street, Kingsville, Texas.
